Privately held company just done second round offinancing - apparently successful and no money issues.
Registered company in USA (Georgia) where thesales and marketing is primary, Kassel in Germany where the R&Dtakes place and the engineers/programmers (15) work. Anna-Lena supports the Sales and Marketing, Tim is a SolutionsArchitect.
Customer base is Coca Cola, Google, Deutschetelekom, Siemens, Swisscom - they have a German Case Study onSparkassa.
Partners are Cisco (EnergyWise) , Intel(dataCentre Manager), Ernst & Young (Energy Audit).

Discussion and demo: Can be used for all IPenabled devices.
Discovery via existing systems. i.e. ActiveDirectory, EnergyWise. (NB: Brocade not yet supported)
For policy execution - uses standard controls(WMI, SSH)
Installed inside the firewall, so noconfiguration changes needed.

Cisco has stopped Orchestrator - special offer tousers to switch over to Joulex JEM.

Network traffic: JEM does a ping/TCP check every5 minutes and an energy usage poll every 30 minutes (Default) Thiscan be individually set.
Scale: Scale is unlimited. They have experienceon 30.000 devices in VMware environment - no slowdown. Potential 1mdevices plus however this is not likely or even practical.
Can create events in the event of energy useabove/below average.
In a Data Centre, can use policy to move VirtualMachines within cluster - then saving energy by powering down freedservers.
SALES NOTE: Need to approach at CxO level and notIT level. IT department may be the purchaser but the management arethe decision makers or at least the motivators.
ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FEE: Depends on the number ofdevices, and if this is a Workspace or a Data Centre.
Between €2 and €9 per device peryear.
Version 2.6 free for Cisco customers. (Largecustomers 1 year free, small customers get 3 months free)
They also help with migration fromOrchestrator.
Possible perpetual license to be discussed.

     1st - referralagreement (10% of 1st year fee and Joulex does theintegration.
     2nd - this shouldbe translated into a partner agreement.
QUESTION: Does Joulex need local integrators?ANS: currently they manage but this will change especially as theyrequire other language help.
