Energywise is free of charge, as it is actually asoftware protocol built into the device IOS. Supported on allRouters, IP Phones, Access points - all non-legacy equipment.Energywise was rolled out in 2009 so legacy is until then.
EW Gateway may be an SDK issue (i.e. for IT phonesystem.
Q: Dedication from Cisco to EW? very high
Q: Time required to implement? Actuallyrequires 3rd party management application (front end) so cannotanswer the question. (CiscoWorks LMS very basic)
Q: Primary Competitor? Non, really.
Q: Looking for resellers as such? Well,good incentive to get Cisco partners to churn legacyequipment.
Andy mentioned Fieldserver as having North andSouth side integration into EW thus allowing for building andlegacy integration.
3rd Party mamangement providers are JOULEX (EWbased) and Tridium, JCI, Schneuder, Iconics, Delta Controlsetc)
Q: Where is EW most utilized? Andy Lee says byfar No. 1 is the UK.
